Why Getting Botox Is a Sign Of Optimism

By , On

A few weeks back, a close friend sent me a recent article from InStyle.com titled “If You Think About it, Botox is Optimism” and upon reading I knew I had to share this with my Revive Skincare clients!

“We feel better when we look better, and we really want to feel better right now.”

Kiera Carter (2021, InStyle.com)

When the pandemic first started and we had to temporarily close our doors, I wondered.. “What will happen to the aesthetic industry?” My fear was that with jobs being lost and no social events, will my clients still care to get their injectable treatments?

We were closed from March until June 2020, and when we were allowed to reopen, I was hit with a surge of demand from clients wanting to get in, and ASAP, to get treatment. Turns out during those months at home, clients were staring at themselves on Zoom, social media, and in the mirror, analyzing their wrinkles it seems!

“Official 2020 industry reports haven’t been released yet, but dermatologists across the country say they’re busier than ever”

And this has carried over, as it is now March 2021 and things at Revive haven’t slowed down at all!

Getting a cosmetic injectable treatment like Botox, allows you to treat yourself to the selfcare we all have been craving during this time of uncertainty. Botox allows you to take control of your aging and appearance – and in a pandemic where we feel a loss of control, that can be very impactful to our overall well-being. A doctor’s office is also a place where many feel safe, knowing strict Covid protocols are being followed, and patients are being regularly pre-screened.

“Data from the 2008 recession shows that rates of Botox and filler actually increase during an economic downturn, to the tune of 31% in 2008. People want to buy things that make them feel good about themselves.”

(Berkowitz, 2021, InStyle.com)

Now I’m not saying everyone should run out and get cosmetic injectables. Please make sure you get cosmetic procedures done because YOU want them, not an outside influence. And choose a well trained provider you can trust, in a safe environment.

And if after reading this you think a little Botox Optimism is what you need, come see me at Revive! I offer a free consultation, always, to give potential clients the chance to meet me and learn about what their options are.

Take care and stay safe out there my friends.
